When you ask Cassandra Friskie when she realized that singing is what she was born to do, she would respond with “Since I was born.”
Miss Friskie, coming from a long line of musicians, started singing professionally at the very young age of 8 years old. Watching her father, Randy Elvis Friskie perform for all those years inspired her to follow in his footsteps, and start impersonating herself. Starting with Patsy Cline at 8, adding Cher by 10, to her now huge repertoire of artists such as Marilyn Monroe, Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Dolly Parton, Liza Minelli, even Lady Gaga!
Her big voice and charisma has landed her huge opportunities, such as opening for Lonestar and The Rascal Flatts, headlining at the Northwest Washington State Fair, singing at the British Columbia Country Music Awards and performing with the Beach Boys!
Although impersonating is a huge passion for her, Cassandra is also pursuing a solo career and loves writing and creating her own music. She is currently working on her debut solo album, and it will definately not be one to be missed!
Cassandra also performs covers with a band that plays all styles of music from country, to classic rock, to today’s biggest hits. They’ll do everything from full production, to a more intimate stripped down performance. She is also currently working on a duo project with another talented musician Charlie Frie, and may be coming to a coffee shop or local bar near you very soon!
